Community Acupuncture in Scottsdale, AZ
Jennifer has seen firsthand how acupuncture can ease pain, calm the nervous system, restore balance, and help people feel like themselves again. Over the years, she has witnessed countless moments of relief, healing, and renewed hope through consistent care.
She also understands that for many people, cost can make ongoing treatment feel out of reach. That’s why she created Community Acupuncture at Cedar & Sage Wellness — to make this powerful form of healing more accessible to the Scottsdale community.
In a warm, peaceful shared space, patients relax in comfortable recliners while receiving individualized care. This community setting allows Jennifer to offer the same thoughtful attention and personalized treatment at a more affordable rate, making regular acupuncture possible for more people who want to feel their best.
What Is Community Acupuncture?
Community acupuncture is an affordable way to experience the benefits of acupuncture in a calm, shared healing space. Instead of a private treatment room, patients relax comfortably in zero-gravity recliners alongside others, creating a peaceful atmosphere that many find deeply restorative.
At Cedar & Sage Wellness, every session is still personalized to your needs. Jennifer will check in with you before treatment, discuss how you’re feeling, and tailor your care accordingly. Treatments are done while you remain fully clothed, with points typically accessed on the arms, legs, head, and ears.
Community acupuncture is a wonderful option for ongoing support with stress, pain, addiction, PTSD, sleep concerns, nervous system regulation, and overall wellness. Most importantly, it makes consistent acupuncture care more accessible — because everyone deserves the opportunity to feel better.
How Does a Community Acupuncture Session Work?
1. Book your session
Because community acupuncture sessions are in high demand, we recommend reserving your spot in advance. Walk-ins are welcome, though availability may require a short wait. Sessions are typically 20–30 minutes and take place in comfortable zero-gravity recliners. Jennifer begins each session with a brief consultation and personalized needle placement, followed by a peaceful rest period and a final check-in before you leave.
2. Arrive and check in
When you arrive, you’ll check in and make your payment before meeting briefly with Jennifer. At your first visit, this includes a more thorough review of your health history and wellness goals. For returning visits, it’s simply a quick check-in to discuss how you’re feeling and any updates since your last session.
If you’re a new patient, please arrive 10 minutes early to complete your intake forms.
3. Get comfortable in your recliner
You will be guided to a comfortable recliner in the shared treatment space. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows access to your lower arms and legs — community acupuncture primarily uses points below the elbows and knees, which means you remain clothed throughout your session. Blankets are available.
4. Receive your treatment
Jennifer places ultra-fine needles at specific points tailored to your individual needs and health goals. She then checks on each patient in the room, returning to you throughout your session. You rest quietly — most people relax deeply, and many fall asleep.
5. Rest, release, restore
When your session is complete, Jennifer removes the needles and you are gently guided out of your recliner. You will leave feeling relaxed, lighter, and — over a course of sessions — progressively better.
What does a Community Acupuncture Session Cost?
We believe healing should be accessible to everyone. That’s why our Community Acupuncture sessions operate on an honor system sliding scale of $30–$60 per session, allowing you to choose what feels manageable for your budget. We trust that you know your financial circumstances better than anyone, and we invite you to select the amount that feels right for you.
This model was created with one simple goal: to ensure that anyone who could benefit from acupuncture has the opportunity to receive consistent care, regardless of financial limitations. By sharing a peaceful treatment space, we’re able to make regular acupuncture more affordable while still providing thoughtful, individualized care.
Please note that first-time visits include an additional $10 fee to allow time for Jennifer to complete your intake and health history review, ensuring your treatment is personalized to your needs from the very beginning.
