Acupuncture Mesa, AZ
Personalized Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine
When you’re dealing with pain, poor sleep, stress, digestive changes, low energy, or simply don’t feel like yourself, it can be difficult to know where to start.
At Cedar & Sage Acupuncture, we take time to understand the bigger picture.
Dr. Jennifer provides individualized acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Mesa, Arizona, with private appointments available on Wednesdays. Your treatment is based on your symptoms, health history, patterns, and goals — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
For Pain, Stress, Sleep & Whole-Body Wellness
People seek acupuncture at our Mesa location for many different reasons. You may be dealing with a specific concern that isn’t improving, several symptoms that seem connected, or simply feel like your body isn’t functioning the way it normally does.
Dr. Jennifer provides individualized acupuncture care that considers both the symptoms you’re experiencing and the patterns surrounding them.
Acupuncture may be used to support:
Back, Neck & Shoulder Pain
Including muscle tension, stiffness, and joint discomfort.
Headaches & Muscle Tension
Especially when tension seems to keep returning.
Stress & Anxiety
Insomnia & Poor Sleep
Including difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking without feeling rested.
Menopause Symptoms
Including hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood changes, fatigue, and brain fog.
Digestive Concerns
Including bloating, constipation, reflux, and IBS-type symptoms.
Fatigue & Low Energy
When you’re feeling depleted, foggy, or simply not like yourself.
You don’t need to figure out exactly what’s wrong before making an appointment. Your first visit gives us time to talk through what you’re experiencing and determine an acupuncture treatment plan based on you.
Traditional Chinese Medicine looks beyond a single symptom to understand patterns throughout the body.
During your acupuncture appointment, Dr. Jennifer may consider your health history along with patterns involving pain, sleep, stress, digestion, energy, temperature, appetite, and other symptoms that can help provide a more complete picture of what you’re experiencing.
These details help guide the acupuncture points and treatment techniques selected for you.
That means two patients who visit Cedar & Sage with the same complaint may receive very different acupuncture treatments.
Your treatment can also evolve over time. As symptoms change, improvements occur, or your goals shift, your care can change with you.
This is individualized acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine care built around the person — not just the complaint.
More Than Acupuncture
Our Traditional Chinese Medicine Toolbox
Acupuncture is the foundation of care at our Mesa location, but it isn’t the only tool available. When appropriate, Dr. Jennifer may incorporate additional traditional Chinese medicine and complementary techniques to support your acupuncture treatment.
Gua Sha
Gua Sha may be incorporated into an acupuncture appointment to address areas of muscle tension, stiffness, and discomfort using a smooth-edged therapeutic tool.
Tui Na Bodywork
Tui Na is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine bodywork using techniques such as pressing, kneading, rolling, stretching, and acupressure. It may be incorporated when hands-on treatment would complement your acupuncture care.
Electroacupuncture
For certain treatment goals, gentle electrical stimulation can be applied between selected acupuncture points to provide more sustained stimulation during treatment.
Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy (APIT)
APIT combines acupuncture point selection with small amounts of approved therapeutic substances administered at targeted points. It may be recommended as part of an individualized treatment approach when appropriate.
Lifestyle & Nutrition Guidance
Traditional Chinese Medicine care can extend beyond what happens during your appointment. When appropriate, Dr. Jennifer may provide individualized recommendations related to nutrition, sleep, digestion, energy, stress management, and everyday habits to support your treatment between visits.
Not every patient needs every technique. Your Mesa acupuncture treatment may consist of acupuncture alone or incorporate additional therapies based on your individual needs.
