Flashlight Nights at Desert Botanical Garden: Community, Color, and Connection

Some evenings just stay with you.

We had the joy of attending Flashlight Nights at Desert Botanical Garden recently, and honestly? It was exactly what the soul needed. The garden glowed, the air was warm, and everywhere we looked, people were showing up — joyfully, fully, as themselves. Families, couples, friends, strangers who became neighbors for an evening. It was one of those rare moments where you feel the community you live in and genuinely love it.

There’s something quietly powerful about sharing a space with people who are all there for the same simple reason: to experience something beautiful together. Desert Botanical Garden has a way of doing that — it creates a backdrop that strips away the noise and invites presence. Add a summer evening, twinkling lights winding through the desert landscape, and a crowd full of warmth and laughter, and you’ve got something pretty special.

At Cedar & Sage, inclusive, affirming care isn’t a footnote — it’s foundational to everything we do. Evenings like this remind us why. Seeing community come together to celebrate one another, in all its color and diversity, reflects exactly the kind of space we aspire to hold in our practice every single day.

We already can’t wait to go back next year.

If you’ve never been to Flashlight Nights, put it on your list. And if you were there with us in spirit or in person — thank you for being part of a community worth celebrating.
