We’ll talk through your medical history, current concerns, and wellness goals without rushing. From there, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that may include a blend of acupuncture and complementary therapies based on what will best support your needs.
And this isn’t just a consultation — you’ll receive your first acupuncture treatment during this appointment.

Your first acupuncture treatment

Plan for 60–90 minutes so we have the time to give your first visit the attention it deserves.

Acupuncture & Complementary Therapies

Acupuncture is at the center of care at Cedar & Sage, but it isn’t the only tool available.

Your treatment plan is built around you. Depending on your symptoms, needs, and goals, your care may include acupuncture alone or a combination of complementary techniques selected by your Doctor of Acupuncture.

Acupuncture

Individualized acupuncture based on your symptoms, health history, and treatment goals.

Fire Cupping

Controlled suction using heated glass cups to address areas of muscle tension, tightness, and discomfort. Complement to acupuncture or book on its own.

Gua Sha

A traditional technique using a smooth tool over the skin to address areas of muscle tension, stiffness, and discomfort.

Tui Na Bodywork

Hands-on therapeutic bodywork using pressing, kneading, rolling, stretching, and acupressure techniques.

Electroacupuncture

Acupuncture with gentle, controlled electrical stimulation when stronger or more sustained point stimulation is appropriate.

Dry Needling & Ashi Point Acupuncture

Targeted needling of tender or reactive points in muscle tissue to address muscle tension, myofascial pain, and restricted movement.

Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy

A specialized technique combining acupuncture point selection with small amounts of approved therapeutic substances for targeted treatment.

A Stand-Alone Treatment or Complement to Acupuncture

Sometimes stubborn tension needs a different approach.

Fire cupping uses heat to create controlled suction with glass cups, helping address areas of persistent muscle tightness, tension, and discomfort. At Cedar & Sage, it can be incorporated into your acupuncture treatment or booked as a stand-alone service.
